Inspiring Women

As we approach the end of the year at full speed, we are all hoping for a real change to our current situation but more importantly, holding on to a meaningful growth within us. The ongoing pandemic has thrust us into a constant state of self-reflection. Whilst, like you, I also yearn for a wholesome elevation of our communities, one word comes to mind when I look at all the events of the year and consider all the stories and interactions I have shared with different people: compassion. Everyone needs compassion.

It is in this same spirit that I introduce you to Elima, an intensive care nurse at one of the country’s leading teaching hospitals and the founder of the value adding podcast Bits N Bobs. Read on to find out more about Elima’s journey through the pandemic and her unwavering determination to thrive!

A millennial who grew up with technology and social media at her fingertips, it does not come as a surprise to some, that she is the founder of a thriving digital marketing consultancy.  Business has always been in her bones one way or another, even during her formative years.

Mays left a successful career in advertising to follow her true calling of becoming a nutritionist and yoga teacher. Now fully qualified, she runs an equally successful business; Health Mays, following her passion. The transition was gradual, almost like the changes of seasons.

As it is September, a month of new beginnings, you might be thinking about making a bold move like Mays did, or introducing small changes in your life so you get more fulfilment. If so, I hope you find inspiration in Mays' story as I did. 

Like most of us, we all have, or are slowly building, a tribe of like-minded women whom we give and receive support from (even those we meet and interact with on social media only) and so I felt it would be ideal for me to start these series of interviews with women who have inspired me personally in one way or another.  Krystal Clarke is one of these women.
